  • Deal Origination & Target Research
    • Screen and map potential M&A targets, investment opportunities, and strategic partnership candidates across TASCO’s focus sectors (transportation, automotive, real estate, insurance).
    • Conduct industry landscaping, competitor benchmarking, and macroeconomic analysis to build and maintain a live deal pipeline.
    • Prepare investment theses, target profiles, and preliminary valuation summaries for senior review.
    • Monitor regulatory changes, M&A market trends, and transaction comps in Vietnam and across Southeast Asia.
  • Buy-Side Due Diligence & Analysis
    • Lead or co-lead financial, commercial, and operational due diligence on acquisition targets — building standalone financial models (DCF, LBO, merger model) from scratch.
    • Design and manage the due diligence workstream: coordinate document request lists, track deliverables across legal, tax, and operational advisors, and synthesize findings into concise risk memos.
    • Stress-test financial assumptions, identify red flags, and translate complex findings into actionable deal recommendations.
    • Build sensitivity and scenario analyses to support deal pricing, valuation range, and walk-away thresholds for negotiation.
  • Buy-Side Valuation & Negotiation
    • Prepare financial exhibits and negotiation briefings for deal team leads — translating model outputs into clear valuation narratives.
    • Support deal structuring discussions: capital structure design, earn-out mechanics, SPA/SHA commercial term review, and post-closing adjustment calculations.
    • Draft and update deal timelines, closing checklists, and conditions precedent trackers to maintain deal momentum.
  • Sell-Side Execution: Pitch Decks & Investor Materials
    • Build high-quality pitch books and information memoranda (IMs) for asset disposals or capital-raising mandates — owning both the analytical and presentation layers.
    • Prepare, organize, and maintain virtual data rooms (VDRs): structure document folders, liaise with internal stakeholders to collect materials, and manage investor Q&A processes.
    • Develop investor-facing financial models with clear assumptions, clean output sheets, and audit-ready formulas.
    • Coordinate with legal, finance, and operational teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of all data room materials within transaction timelines.

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree (or above) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Investment, or a related discipline.
    • CPA / ACCA / CFA (passed or in progress) is a strong plus.
  • Experience
    • 5–7 years of experience with direct exposure to corporate clients in finance, industrials, or real estate — this is the preferred entry path.
    • Demonstrated research experience: equity research, industry analysis, investment screening, or equivalent analytical work.
    • Exposure to or involvement in M&A transactions, financial advisory, investment banking, or private equity is a significant advantage.
    • Track record of preparing financial models, audit workpapers, or analytical reports that have been reviewed and relied upon by senior stakeholders.
    • Technical Skills — Excel is Non-Negotiable
    • Advanced Excel: dynamic financial models, multi-scenario analysis.
    • Financial modelling: ability to build and audit DCF, LBO, comparable company, and merger models.
    • PowerPoint: ability to create investment-grade pitch decks — clear, concise, and visually structured.
  • Competencies
    • Analytical rigor: comfortable working with large, messy datasets and converting them into clean, decision-ready insights.
    • Attention to detail: audit background instincts — nothing ships without being checked twice.
    • Research-driven: independently sources, verifies, and synthesizes market, industry, and company-level information.
    • Communication: clear writer and presenter; able to distill complex analysis into a 1-page executive summary.
    • Work ethic: comfortable operating in a fast-paced deal environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
    • English: business proficient — reading legal / financial documents, writing memos, and attending advisor calls.
